Palico Business Continuity Plan
Palico (“Palico”, “we” or “us”) is the operator of the environment accessible through www.palico.com (the “Site”). References to Palico herein refer to Palico SAS or its respective affiliates, subsidiaries and designees as deemed appropriate by Palico. Individuals who are authorized members of Palico (“Members”) or who are officers, directors, employees, agents or contractors of Members of Palico, together with such Members, are collectively referred to herein as “Users” or “you.”
The Site allows investors (“Investors“), sponsors (“Sponsors“) and service providers (“Service Providers“) to register for and have access to Palico’s platform and matching service, which is intended to enable Members to source and manage business opportunities, relationships and related information within the private equity industry (the “Platform“, and together with the Site, “Palico Network“).
Palico has developed a Business Continuity Plan that describes how we will respond to events that significantly disrupt our business. Since the timing and impact of disasters and disruptions is unpredictable, we will have to be flexible in responding to actual events as they occur. With that in mind, we are providing you with this summary information on our business continuity plan.
1. Our Business Continuity Plan
Our Business Continuity Plan is designed to help us to recover and resume business operations in the event of a significant business disruption. The Business Continuity Plan sets forth the steps that we agree to take to respond to a business disruption and safeguard our employees and property, make financial and operational assessments, protect our books data, records and assets, and allow our Users to transact business through Palico Network. In summary, our Business Continuity Plan is designed to allow Palico to resume business operations as quickly as possible, in light of the scope and severity of the business disruption.
Our Business Continuity Plan addresses key issues relevant to business continuity, including: data backup and recovery; mission critical systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with Users, employees, and regulatory authorities; alternative physical location of employees; critical supplier, contractor, regulatory reporting; and mechanisms for ensuring that our Users are able to have prompt access to Palico Network if we are unable to continue our business.
2. Varying Disruptions
Significant business disruptions may vary in their scope. For instance, business disruptions may impact Palico, a single building housing Palico’s offices, the business district where Palico is located, the city where Palico is located, or an entire region. In addition, the severity of a business disruption may also vary from minimal to severe. In the event of a disruption to only Palico or a building housing Palico’s offices, we will transfer our operations to a local site when needed and endeavor to recover and resume business within one business day. In a disruption affecting our business district, city, or region, we will transfer our operations to a site outside of the affected area, and recover and resume business operations as rapidly as possible. In either situation, we plan to continue in business, transfer operations to another vicinity if necessary and notify you through Palico Network, through email or other means.
