How is your experience on the platform? How would you describe the LPs you met through Palico?

We were astonished by the quality and quantity of LP users on the platform. We realized that some of the LPs with whom we were trying hard to connect in the past are actually loyal and active Palico users. These LPs become super reachable with the help of Palico. Now there is a perfect channel for us to have in-depth conversations and share all types of eye-catching materials with them. I indeed feel that we are maybe too late in the game and we should have used Palico earlier.

How is Palico included in your fundraising efforts?

I think the most important role Palico played in our whole fundraising process is to plant a seed in people’s heads. LPs are also looking forward to being inspired and surprised by GPs on the platform. Sometimes, they will just browse the funds according to their investment preferences, and when our name shows up, it opens the LPs’ horizons. Thanks to the exposure we get through the Palico platform and the email notifications they arranged for us, we created the perfect environment for that seed to grow.

What value did Palico bring in managing your relationships with investors?

Palico provided us with a safe and regulated environment to build connections with qualified LPs and the power of the network is beyond our imagination. For example, one LP that got to know Mantra through Palico also introduced us to his network, in particular another LP. Both of them committed to our funds in the end and we were able to build really good relationships with them, from which we can benefit in the long term.

Any tips to share with other GPs who are using or who want to use Palico?

It is a good idea for GPs to onboard all of their strategies to Palico to tell the full story. Investors could easily discover other listings that belong to the same GP thanks to the cool functionalities on the platform. I reached out to one LP who invested in our secondary fund and presented our primary fund. He is willing to know more and he ended up investing in both funds. This wouldn’t have been possible without Palico’s help.

How would you rate the client support that Palico has provided?

One thing I really want to highlight regarding my experience at Palico is the great support we received from Palico’s Client Experience team. We had the opportunity to record a podcast with them, and host our own digital roadshow, present our funds, and interact with the investors that previously showed interest as well as new investors. All these initiatives helped us get a lot of traction. I’d say that the multi-media-friendly approach brought a lot of additional colors to our listing page, which in turn helped catch the attention of LPs.
